You Are Not Behind. You’re Becoming.
Somewhere along the way, we got obsessed with the reveal.
The launch.
The title.
The before-and-after.
We celebrate the finished house.
We applaud the ribbon cutting.
We compliment the paint color.
Nobody claps for the framing.
Nobody applauds the wiring.
Nobody romanticizes the dust.
But the framing is the point.
The wiring is the point.
The dust is the point.
Because that’s where the real work happens.
Becoming is not glamorous.
Becoming is not photogenic.
Becoming is not shareable.
It is repetitive.
It is quiet.
It is invisible.
You wake up unsure.
You go to bed uncertain.
You keep moving anyway.
That’s becoming.
It’s the part where you try on new thoughts that don’t fit yet.
The part where old definitions fall off before new ones settle.
The part where you don’t recognize yourself… but you know you’re closer.
We’ve been trained to value the outcome.
The promotion.
The relationship.
The applause.
But the outcome is just proof that the becoming worked.
The outcome is evidence.
The becoming is the transformation.
The becoming is the story.
This is why you feel uncomfortable.
You are mid-rewrite.
Mid-rebuild.
Mid-becoming.
And it’s loud in here.
Let them post the finished product.
Let them show the polished version.
Let them announce the milestone.
You are in the part that actually matters.
You are not behind.
You’re becoming.
Respectfu11y.
